Image Classifier: Teach an AI Rock, Paper, Scissors
Train an AI that recognizes your own hand.
By the end of this lesson you will have — one image model (a model that sorts pictures) that tells rock, paper, and scissors apart

Under 13? Use a parent's account, with your parent sitting next to you.
Follow these steps
- Open Teachable Machine and start an Image Project. Make three classes: Rock, Paper, Scissors.
- Turn on your webcam with a parent next to you, and show only your hand, not your face. Record about 30 pictures of your hand for each class. Then click Train Model.
- Test it: show your hand and watch which class it picks. If it guesses wrong, add more pictures and train again.
- Stuck or curious? Copy the question from the box next to these steps into the AI you're allowed to use (under 13: a parent's account, with your parent). When your model works, take a screenshot and show a friend.
